Junior Grading Guide

The Grading system for the Junior Class is as follows:

We will aim to hold a grading in the last week of every month. The cost for each mini grading is £ 5, payable on the day, and this will include a certificate and belt or tag. You will be advised if your child is ready for their next available grade. The syllabus is as follows and all elements must be completed in order to achieve Yellow Belt Standard:

Each student will be asked to perform 4 different elements for each grading, they will all have been practised in class, but some of the harder elements may require extra practise at home. Students can be fast tracked if we deem it appropriate for them.

From Yellow Belt onwards the students will be required to attend a more formal Grading, as per the UKTA and ITF regulations. These are held every 2 / 3 months and you will be informed of their dates.
